Leo Baladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Gergori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Gergori scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Baladi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jesus Gergori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coquitos FC's Baltazar de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Luisito Lamberto made a precise shot to the right of Wilfredo Pereyra. Coquitos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 34 minutes into the game, El Lucero FC's Arnulfo Constancio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfredo Pereyra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 39th minute, Bruno Goveo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coquitos FC's attentive Kristian Jessen managed to snatch the ball when Aristides Bautista made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. Leo Baladi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Gergori in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Coquitos FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cosme Eufrasio hit a great ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Gergori in the 53rd minute of play forced El Lucero FC's goalkeeper Leo Baladi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coquitos FC's Wilfredo Pereyra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Coquitos FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of El Lucero FC booed when Coquitos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Goveo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Jesus Gergori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coquitos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Gergori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Jesus Gergori had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Baladi. El Lucero FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesus Gergori was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 81st minute of the game Aristides Bautista made a throw-in which Amado Ovando played forward. Jesus Gergori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Leo Baladi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Dalmai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Baladi having to make a save. Coquitos FC's Wilfredo Pereyra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Coquitos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute Luisito Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
