After 42 played minutes Carragal FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Elizardo. Jonatan Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Lind made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Garaile in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Washington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
