With an all-out effort, CORDOBA's Ovidio Polentzi threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abelardo Gilabert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 20th minute, Silvestre Ritchie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ovidio Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Gilabert in the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of CORDOBA booed when Chalicán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Joseph could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Téo Tasso made a huge save. Raul Joseph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Téo Tasso having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Nabar during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nestor Nabar hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Chalicán's Justino Urtsua got a free kick in the 96th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
