After 21 minutes of play, ZeRoCooL's Guillermo Oihan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Umea was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Mauro Goi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 28th minute, Angelo Telmo made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Umea. Oriente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Telmo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Umea saved Oriente from getting behind. Anibal Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Celedonio Lehior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of ZeRoCooL booed when Oriente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Paez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Umea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Pacho in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 58 minutes, Anibal Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oriente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Angelo Telmo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Umea was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Celedonio Lehior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Oriente players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ZeRoCooL.
