After 6 minutes of play, Videla's Bernardino Venceslao made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Dimo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Joanes's late challenge caught a Videla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Joanes helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Joanes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Bernardino Venceslao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Dimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Aragonés booed when Videla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Dolcet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Diego Ilazki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aragonés's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Videla the free kick. After 18 played minutes Aragonés got a freekick which was hit by Diego Ilazki. After 20 played minutes, Videla's Isidro Batista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Dimo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Videla reached it. Eustaquio Abaunza's late challenge caught a Videla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Abaunza helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aragonés getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eustaquio Abaunza hit a great ball. Sonny Melberg kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Isidro Batista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Dimo. Aragonés's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Aragonés's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Venceslao came free, but Pedro Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Videla's Antonio Florin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Dimo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Dimo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Florin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Pedro Dimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Florin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Antonio Florin made the kick off in the second half. Oktay Yürük struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Joaquin Merexildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aragonés. In the 62nd minute, Saverio Elequemedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Dimo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Isidro Batista. In the 65th minute Antonio Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Dimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidro Batista made a great header on Videla's corner, it was just that Aragonés's Pedro Dimo managed to reach the ball for a save. Oktay Yürük fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Merexildo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardino Venceslao got free with Pedro Dimo in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Dimo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Serapio in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Bernardino Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Videla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Venceslao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Videla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Videla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
