In the 7th minute Cristian Gabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiliam Lira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Maximiliano Santo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximiliano Santo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Gabon in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Fabio Azeari threw the ball into play from the sideline. VIRUS K AFC's Ladislao Azubeli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 16th minute, Edelmiro Poz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel da Costa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Cristian Gabon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanguardia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Gabon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Wiliam Lira came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Vanguardia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Lira couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, VIRUS K AFC's Edelmiro Poz got a free kick in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Lira got free with Maximiliano Santo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, VIRUS K AFC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Santo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiliam Lira. If Joel da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Joel da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Aznaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Aznaro came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by VIRUS K AFC's Joel da Costa. But to his dismay, Joel da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel da Costa to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, VIRUS K AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Gabon came free, but Maximiliano Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wiliam Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Edelmiro Poz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to VIRUS K AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Rafael Mendivil hit a great ball. Maximiliano Santo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Maximiliano Santo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Gabon went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Wiliam Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximiliano Santo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Ladislao Azubeli made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vanguardia's Guillermo Gonsalvo. The supporters of Vanguardia booed when VIRUS K AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Cordarrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, VIRUS K AFC's Pascual Nataniel got a free kick in the 91st minute. Damaso Aznaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel da Costa in the 94th minute of the match.
