An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Fertus in the 24th minute of play forced Spoil Misery City's goalkeeper Epifanio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gregorio Quilo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spoil Misery City's protests and gave Gregorio Quilo a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Spoil Misery City got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Quilo. The Spoil Misery City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Eyague should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, one of Cavalango AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cavalango AFC. Daniel Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Berdaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Kemen to strike the kick off in the second half.
