Piquete's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cirilo Huly 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Teofilo Osorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but demoledor's Ruben Firme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Freddy Hitz came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Piquete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Hitz couldn't finish the play. Freddy Hitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Hitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in demoledor's zone, Teofilo Osorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Firme came out of the goal and Teofilo Osorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Hitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Firme having to interfere.
