Alonzo Stanislao charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Aureliano Quintana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Garaona in the 17th minute. When Apolo Eliazar came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Atlas Football Club 5 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Eliazar couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Bermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Eleuterio Mel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Eliazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Aureliano Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Saul Regis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amaná's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Regis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Amaná's Saul Regis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roscoe Rosas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Haroldo Lastur made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Amaná's Saul Regis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roscoe Rosas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Saul Regis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Roscoe Rosas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Apolo Eliazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlas Football Club 5's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Eliazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64 minutes, Isidro Xabat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amaná and the Atlas Football Club 5 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isidro Xabat hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Aureliano Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Eliazar in the 71st minute of the match. Aureliano Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Garaona in the 72nd minute of play. Saul Regis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roscoe Rosas having to interfere. Isidro Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roscoe Rosas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Regis in the 80th minute. Aureliano Quintana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Garaona's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, Amaná's Alfredo Salomon got a free kick in the 84th minute. Haroldo Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Atlas Football Club 5 getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Sergio Romano hit a great ball. Aureliano Quintana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Garaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Garaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Quintana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Amaná walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
