Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jorge Olentzaro kicked off to start the match. Salvador Ofelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Olentzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Vimaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Saturnino Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, noilever fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Reno to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in noilever fc's zone, Romulo Eron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Paez came out of the goal and Romulo Eron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Vimaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Olentzaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Columbus Crew's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Olentzaro came free, but Salvador Ofelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Ofelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Olentzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by noilever fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teobaldo Gilabert was slow to take the kick. During this time Columbus Crew's players had a chance to rest. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romulo Eron to strike the kick off in the second half. Saturnino Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Eron in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 53 minutes, Jorge Olentzaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. noilever fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Olentzaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Columbus Crew defense, Jorge Olentzaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salvador Ofelio. The Columbus Crew fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salvador Ofelio should have stopped the shot. Columbus Crew's Salvador Ofelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Tono in the 62nd minute of play. If Patricio Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, noilever fc's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Eron came free, but Saturnino Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Olentzaro in the 76th minute of the match. Saturnino Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Eron in the 79th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Jorge Olentzaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Columbus Crew's Salvador Ofelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 82 minutes, Arnulfo Tono mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the noilever fc and the Columbus Crew players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Columbus Crew booed when noilever fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Arnulfo Tono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnulfo Tono in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Ofelio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the match, noilever fc's goalkeeper Saturnino Paez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patricio Vimaro. After having played for 96 minutes, Romulo Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Columbus Crew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Eron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. noilever fc had won after a very even match.
