Corralito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vértiz AFC the free kick. Dante Ponciano kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Ambrosio Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Elpidio Leheren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Ponciano in the 29th minute of play forced Corralito's goalkeeper Ignacio Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Vértiz AFC's Sebastian Padro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Quintana in the 40th minute of play. Vértiz AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ambrosio Quintana 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ambrosio Quintana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Elpidio Leheren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corralito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Leheren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute Ambrosio Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Padro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corralito's Ambrosio Quintana got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Corralito's Severo Rosalio got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 63 minutes, Gabriel Oro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vértiz AFC and the Corralito players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Corralito booed when Vértiz AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Oro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Ascencio made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Dante Ponciano sent off a good shot on target. If Ambrosio Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elpidio Leheren might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Padro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Padro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Paolo Luzea threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vértiz AFC's Elvio Garoa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vértiz AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Corralito had won, even though Vértiz AFC had held more of the ball.
