The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Taboada FC's Jonas Efren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Gudesteo in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Per-Olof Pilblad dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodolfo Santikurtz, 1-0. Rodolfo Santikurtz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Guasuncho booed when Taboada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Beliran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nemesio Gudesteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damaso Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Domingo Llanos hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Taboada FC booed when Guasuncho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Domenec got free with Jonas Efren in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Per-Olof Pilblad scored 5-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Santikurtz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Dubardo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Santikurtz saved Guasuncho from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Per-Olof Pilblad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taboada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Olof Pilblad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Santikurtz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Per-Olof Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Damaso Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
