Manuel Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Urbes having to interfere. Elias Otsoa kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Manuel Montrel took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fabian Urbes to make any attempt to save it. If Alejo Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Alejo Txaran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Quetrequén's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Iraitz came free, but Bernardo Salbatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Laurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, one of Chilcas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vladimiro Fertus walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Fabian Urbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Montrel in the 40th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Raimundo Orzaize managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Montrel to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quetrequén's goalkeeper Bernardo Salbatore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Salbatore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimiro Laurin in the 66th minute. Chilcas's Vladimiro Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Urbes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Montrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Ondino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fabian Urbes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Quetrequén's Bernardo Salbatore got control of the ball when Vladimiro Laurin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Chilcas getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Norberto Neto hit a great ball. Cristo Ondino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eulalio Iraitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Vladimiro Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chilcas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Laurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alejo Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chilcas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
