In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaretayo's goalkeeper Isidro Oxarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match, Karl Hornvad got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isidro Oxarra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Yaretayo's Isidro Oxarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Rioja in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Justino Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaretayo's goalkeeper Isidro Oxarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Justino Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Piarres in the 29th minute of play forced Yaretayo's goalkeeper Isidro Oxarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quiñihual's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justino Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Omar Rioja's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Isidro Oxarra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Raul Satordi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Karl Hornvad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiñihual's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Hornvad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Oxarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Rioja to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Yaretayo defense, Karl Hornvad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Oxarra. The Yaretayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Oxarra should have stopped the shot. Justino Piarres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Vaz hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Quiñihual were awarded a corner. Justino Piarres went to the cornerflag to take it. Isidro Oxarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Hornvad, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Justino Piarres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Isidro Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yaretayo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Quiñihual a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Justino Piarres, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yaretayo's Isidro Oxarra. 5-0. In the 82nd minute, Omar Rioja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Oxarra was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Justino Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Quiñihual had played much better football throughout.
