Estudiantes de Bs As's Christian Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Ceandro in the 4th minute of play. In the 5thth minute of the game Froilan Ceandro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de Bs As's Christian Umbruso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de Bs As's zone, Lino Leizarraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Umbruso came out of the goal and Lino Leizarraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Bs As's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Ceandro came free, but Christian Umbruso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wictor Vinström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Endura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Rudolfo in the 11th minute of play forced Soldado de Sabella's goalkeeper Ermegildo Endura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Atarratze during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Atarratze kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Wictor Vinström struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ermegildo Endura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de Bs As. 21 minutes into the game, Froilan Ceandro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Christian Umbruso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute of the game, Ubaldo Poz landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Cirilo Godoy fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de Bs As's protests and gave Cirilo Godoy a yellow card for diving instead. Soldado de Sabella made a substitution. Rodrigo Fraco replaced Ubaldo Poz. A collision led to Estudiantes de Bs As getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cirilo Godoy hit a great ball. Christian Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Ceandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Froilan Ceandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Fraco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wictor Vinström to strike the kick off in the second half. Ermegildo Endura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Vitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 56 played minutes Soldado de Sabella got a freekick which was hit by Lino Leizarraga. Christian Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Leizarraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Lino Leizarraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wictor Vinström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ermegildo Endura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estudiantes de Bs As's Honorato Bermund was substituted for Placido Quentin. 69 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Rudolfo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermegildo Endura. Soldado de Sabella's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Rudolfo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 72 minutes into the match, Wictor Vinström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermegildo Endura. In the 77th minute Nestor Larpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Endura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rodrigo Fraco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermegildo Endura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Larpe in the 83rd minute of the match. After 87th play minutes Froilan Ceandro shot 2-4, a short shot which went by Christian Umbruso and just under the crossbar into goal. The Estudiantes de Bs As supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Soldado de Sabella's performance. The match ended with a win for Soldado de Sabella.
