Nunez Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Jerrold having to interfere. Armando Jerrold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Castel in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gaspar Koldobika managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barriales's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Koldobika was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nunez Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Barriales's zone, Eleuterio Modestio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Jerrold came out of the goal and Eleuterio Modestio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Jerrold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Eusebio Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barriales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toldos the free kick. Armando Jerrold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Castel in the 19th minute of play. When Gaspar Koldobika came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Barriales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Koldobika couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Koldobika in the 27th minute of play forced Toldos's goalkeeper Robustiano Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robustiano Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Koldobika in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Koldobika in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Ramos saved Toldos from getting behind. If Ernesto Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Gaspar Koldobika notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Toldos's Robustiano Ramos. Robustiano Ramos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toldos's Nunez Castel got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robustiano Ramos made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Gaspar Koldobika sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nunez Castel made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, Toldos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Kusko to maneuver through the defense. If Ernesto Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Kusko got free with Armando Jerrold in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 70 played minutes Toldos got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Pelayo. After a rather tough play, Toldos's Prospero Lopes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Toldos's Robustiano Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Cora in the 79th minute of play. Robustiano Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Koldobika in the 89th minute of the match. Gaspar Koldobika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Robustiano Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Barriales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Cora to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Toldos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Barriales.
