After a defensive mix-up in Rosario's zone, Faustino Sauveur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavo Vidal in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Johansson saved Gap AFC from getting behind. Rosario's Anibal Balesio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Sauveur in the 69th minute of play. Marcelo Barto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Pero during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rosario! Marcelo Barto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Rosario got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Meira. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Barto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Balesio was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Olavo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gap AFC had played much better football throughout.
