Martin Incendio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Cefero in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Oliden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Abel to maneuver through the defense. Roque Astudillo, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Piojos's goalkeeper Teodoro Guillelmus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venancio Estebano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 43rd minute of the match Emilio Santio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Emilio Santio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Emilio Santio hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jonatan Ascencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Teodoro Guillelmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 66th minute, Venancio Estebano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Oliden fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Oliden's Jonatan Ascencio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Oliden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Piojos the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Oliden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Loiola to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Venancio Estebano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
