In the 4thth minute of the game Desiderio Leguizamón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CLUB ATLETICO PLATENSE's Venancio Videl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Desiderio Leguizamón might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Videl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Desiderio Leguizamón ran back to his position shaking his head. Venancio Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Leguizamón in the 6th minute of play. Marciano Ellande kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Desiderio Leguizamón put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Venancio Videl. Anibal Veto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Procopio, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Desiderio Leguizamón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CLUB ATLETICO PLATENSE's Venancio Videl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Independiente Rivadavia's Desiderio Leguizamón made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Venancio Videl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamin Cerilo charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Cerilo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO PLATENSE got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Cerilo. 41 minutes into the match, Independiente Rivadavia's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Rosio came free, but Anibal Veto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Rosio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Anibal Veto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ture Levander to make the kick off. Ture Levander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Anibal Veto made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO PLATENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Che came free, but Venancio Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Leguizamón, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Independiente Rivadavia booed when CLUB ATLETICO PLATENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. The tension between the Independiente Rivadavia and the CLUB ATLETICO PLATENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card.
