The referee ignored Pulpera's protests and gave Justo Brun a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Derby County FC booed when Pulpera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Brun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Iban, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pulpera's Amador Gregory proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Pulpera from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute, Oscar Beltran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amador Gregory was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Joel Salomone came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Pulpera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Salomone couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Oscar Beltran made a precise shot to the right of Amador Gregory. Pulpera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Oscar Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Amador Gregory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Chorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Eate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Amador Gregory made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Beltran in the 35th minute. When Esteban Bihar fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pulpera's protests and gave Esteban Bihar a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 minutes, Danilo Hernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pulpera and the Derby County FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Danilo Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Hilario Sabin managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Salomone to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Pulpera booed when Derby County FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Bălașa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Camilo Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Eate was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Salomone showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 61 minute of play. If Jesus Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Oscar Beltran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amador Gregory was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Jesus Chorache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Eate having to make a save. In the 82ndth minute of the game Joel Salomone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derby County FC's Pedro Eate was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Veto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pedro Eate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Derby County FC's Freddy Espiridion got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Esteban Bihar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Veto got free with Pedro Eate in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Joel Salomone came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Pulpera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Salomone couldn't finish the play. Pulpera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
