After 7 minutes, Haroldo Senen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paternal FC and the Derby County FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Haroldo Senen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Paternal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Beltran came free, but Primitivo Jorrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Jorrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Beltran in the 11th minute of the match. Primitivo Jorrin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Beltran in the 13th minute of play. Primitivo Jorrin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Ekialde, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Paternal FC's Primitivo Jorrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Beltran in the 24th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Eate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Derby County FC's Oscar Beltran got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Paternal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Derby County FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Arsenio Emeterio made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Derby County FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Sabin. Esteban Mannie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Eate having to make a save. Primitivo Jorrin stood somewhat misplaced when Oscar Beltran came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 58 minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Pero during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Eate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arsenio Emeterio's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Valentin Ekialde struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Primitivo Jorrin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derby County FC. After 88 played minutes Derby County FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Virila. Derby County FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Paternal FC's much stronger midfield.
