The audience was convinced that Albano Mincho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Gonsalvo was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. The Thiago FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriana Vedillo should have stopped the shot. Thiago FC's Adriana Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Sol in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Albano Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriana Vedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriana Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Venceslas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Julio Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Heriberto in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Arenales getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Lucas Gentza hit a great ball. Arenales's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Humberto Hernandez scored to the left of an out of position Julio Gonsalvo, making the score, 2-1. Albano Sol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriana Vedillo having to interfere. Adriana Vedillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Ferman in the 40th minute of play. Adriana Vedillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Ferman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Federico Cordarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Adriana Vedillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Arenales getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lucas Gentza hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Catarino Guarda to make the kick off. Thiago FC's Adriana Vedillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Thiago FC from getting a goal against them. Adriana Vedillo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isidro Venceslas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 54 minute of play. In the 76th minute Isidro Venceslas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriana Vedillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Louis in the 78th minute of the match. Thiago FC's Makareus Adamidis was substituted for Vicente Guilabertus.
