Suardi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Maraman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Suardi's Ulises Silvanito got control of the ball when Evandro Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cecilio Quinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Quinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Maraman, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Wilian Zonta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulises Silvanito. The goal made the score 1-0. Gavino Matei who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Ulises Silvanito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Flavio Jacindo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Suardi's zone, Gavino Matei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Silvanito came out of the goal and Gavino Matei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Maraman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cecilio Quinton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulises Silvanito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gavino Matei's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavino Matei was the one to do the kick off. After 56 played minutes, EL ESPANTA TIBURONES's Ovidio Fernanco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulises Silvanito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EL ESPANTA TIBURONES reached it. In the 60th minute, Jose Luar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cecilio Quinton, passed just outside the right post. If Ambrosio Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Suardi got a freekick which was hit by Jose Luar. Evandro Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paolo Fonso charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Fonso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ambrosio Maraman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cecilio Quinton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Victorino Raulo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL ESPANTA TIBURONES and the Suardi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes EL ESPANTA TIBURONES got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Raulo. After a defensive mix-up in EL ESPANTA TIBURONES's zone, Ambrosio Maraman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Quinton came out of the goal and Ambrosio Maraman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Quinton made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ambrosio Maraman sent off a good shot on target. The Suardi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Suardi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
