The supporters of velez parada booed when Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Botello was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, one of Nueva Chicago:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The shot was a little too simple and Salvador Ferrando could save by the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Salvador Ferrando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Lore.
