The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severino Senin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Orixe in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Orixe got free with Severino Senin in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Echagüe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Loreto came free, but Severino Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to La Resaca De La Escoria getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Eriberto Amor hit a great ball. The supporters of Echagüe FC booed when La Resaca De La Escoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Hilario Baudelio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Sugoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Rafael Diegotxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Diegotxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Orixe got free with Severino Senin in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. La Resaca De La Escoria's Octavio Mino got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Senin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Orixe in the 37th minute. Felipe Sugoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Karmel's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Echagüe FC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after La Resaca De La Escoria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arturo Peyo took the corner. After 57 played minutes, Echagüe FC's Ladislao Rios shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Sugoi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Echagüe FC reached it. La Resaca De La Escoria made a substitution. Braulio Quinten replaced Adan Vellito. When Ladislao Rios fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Echagüe FC's protests and gave Ladislao Rios a yellow card for diving instead. If Blas Loreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Felipe Sugoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Resaca De La Escoria's attentive Lucas Gerazan managed to snatch the ball when Arturo Peyo made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. If Sebastian Orixe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Diegotxe in the 87th minute of play forced La Resaca De La Escoria's goalkeeper Felipe Sugoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Sebastian Orixe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that La Resaca De La Escoria were the better team. La Resaca De La Escoria's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
