Tomas Quirze's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Berenguer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Lomas Drink Team's Tomas Quirze got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lomas Drink Team booed when Grünbein FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Eliseo Paublo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Mortimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Mino in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Grünbein FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Berenguer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Baumar. Philip Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Quico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Errolan hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tomas Quirze struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Epifanio Berenguer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lomas Drink Team. Candido Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Philip Mortimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lomas Drink Team's zone, Fabio Quico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Mortimer came out of the goal and Fabio Quico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Quico in the 45th minute of play forced Lomas Drink Team's goalkeeper Philip Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Quico hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Candido Mino made a kick off. A collision led to Grünbein FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Aristides Cresenciano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Cristos in the 55th minute of play forced Grünbein FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Tomas Quirze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Berenguer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Baumar in the 58th minute of the match. Bernardo Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Berenguer having to interfere. Lomas Drink Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Fabio Quico scored to the left of an out of position Philip Mortimer, making the score, 2-1. When Lomas Drink Team's Bernardo Baumar in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grünbein FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Diego Cristos fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lomas Drink Team's protests and gave Diego Cristos a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Fidencio charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Fidencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lomas Drink Team getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tomás Fidencio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Quirze in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Berenguer saved Grünbein FC from getting behind.
