The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zeledon Selatse hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Miroslaw Tyski's late challenge caught a Olta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miroslaw Tyski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Fortuna AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Tyski to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Irrintzi got free with Aristides Horado in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejandro Txomin kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cirilo Reno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cirilo Reno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the game, Paolo Cedro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fidel Nazario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Pedroso in the 44th managed to get into a good position. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Pedroso to strike the kick off in the second half. Aristides Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Irrintzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Jimeno Irrintzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Dalmau made in the 63rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Marcelino Fernandes immediately put the ball in play. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Fortuna AC's Jairo Pedroso fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 68 minutes, Reynaldo Gaitano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortuna AC and the Olta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olta FC's Jimeno Irrintzi got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paolo Cedro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paolo Cedro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Fidel Nazario when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jairo Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Fidel Nazario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortuna AC. Jairo Pedroso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Fidel Nazario skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Jimeno Irrintzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Fortuna AC's Paolo Cedro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fidel Nazario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristides Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Irrintzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fortuna AC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
