Jesus Aritza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Kusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidio Aragones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Gora in the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, FCC Cordoba's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Karmel came free, but Ovidio Aragones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FCC Cordoba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Juvenal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Viamonte F.C's zone, Rigoberto Florin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Aritza came out of the goal and Rigoberto Florin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Ruisko's late challenge caught a FCC Cordoba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Ruisko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Marco Ruisko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FCC Cordoba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Rafael Karmel scored to the left of an out of position Ovidio Aragones, making the score, 2-1. When Edelmiro Kusko came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FCC Cordoba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Kusko couldn't finish the play. In the 44th match minute, Atlético Viamonte F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Colon to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Rigoberto Florin made the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Florin struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. After 92 played minutes FCC Cordoba got a freekick which was hit by Esteve Pes. 94 minutes into the game, Luisito Gora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ovidio Aragones was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FCC Cordoba's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Atlético Viamonte F.C had won, even though FCC Cordoba had held more of the ball.
