The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulino Padros short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Blas Tano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Padro in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blas Tano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denis Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Mederi in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Abar in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Mateus saved Salagasta from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Abar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Mateus was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Norberto Mederi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Salagasta defense, Epifanio Abar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Mateus. The Salagasta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Mateus should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Jackson Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Mateus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Epifanio Abar to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Salagasta's goalkeeper Denis Mateus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Epifanio Abar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Abar got free with Denis Mateus in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norberto Mederi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Cleto Iruinea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Epifanio Abar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Epifanio Abar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Abar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denis Mateus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Salagasta's Denis Mateus got control of the ball when Epifanio Abar tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Abar in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Mateus saved Salagasta from getting behind. Denis Mateus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epifanio Abar's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Norberto Mederi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Denis Mateus made a huge save. Paulino Padro struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Blas Tano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salagasta. Epifanio Abar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Denis Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded club atlético alumni left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Salagasta.
