The supporters of argentina booed when Bilisman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Oliviero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Sendoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Ostadar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Israel Evarado came out and tried to block the shot, but Norberto Ostadar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Orlando Emesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Evarado having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Ostadar came free, but Israel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Norberto Ostadar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Israel Evarado was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. A collision led to Bilisman getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eriberto Aimar hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes, argentina's Cristian Guillem shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melquiades Sendoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in argentina reached it. Edgard Llanos's late challenge caught a Bilisman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Llanos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to argentina getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Lluis was the one to do the kick off. Bilisman's Eriberto Aimar got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Sendoa made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Zeledon Amaya sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to argentina getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Bilisman. Victor Petri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Melquiades Sendoa made a huge save. Godofredo Elequemedo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Norberto Ostadar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
