Hambre de Gol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Velez Sarsfield the free kick. A collision led to Hambre de Gol getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Vicente Orlo hit a great ball. Melquiades Ricart was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alvaro Goito. In the 6th minute Virgilio Rodas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Gil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgilio Rodas went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Hambre de Gol getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Virgilio Rodas hit a great ball. Gaspar Curcio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Honrio in the 24th minute of play forced CA Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Oscar Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saverio Llope charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saverio Llope the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, CA Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Llope to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Isaac Honrio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hambre de Gol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Alvaro Goito kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CA Velez Sarsfield's zone, German Gorka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Gil came out of the goal and German Gorka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Gil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Rodas in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Honrio in the 43rd minute of play forced CA Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Oscar Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Hambre de Gol's Melquiades Ricart got control of the ball when Freddy Ekhi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Hambre de Gol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Gorka to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Hambre de Gol were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Oscar Gil was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Virgilio Rodas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. Oscar Gil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Honrio in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes, German Gorka made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. CA Velez Sarsfield's Oscar Gil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Oscar Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Rodas in the 61st minute of play. Oscar Gil was a little too slow when Isaac Honrio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-5. Melquiades Ricart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Llope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Abecia hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Oscar Gil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Gorka hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Oscar Gil came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Hambre de Gol's Isaac Honrio. But to his dismay, Isaac Honrio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. 82 minutes into the match, Isaac Honrio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Gil. CA Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaac Honrio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After 85 played minutes CA Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Ekhi. CA Velez Sarsfield's Oscar Gil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Rodas in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Isaac Honrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Hambre de Gol's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Ekhi came free, but Melquiades Ricart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hambre de Gol's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
