Angelino Eliu started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Killers FC booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Fagildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Izotz in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Fabian Joanes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Bermund. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Constantino Izotz took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Fabian Joanes to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Argentinos Juniors's Fabian Joanes got control of the ball when Fidel Ferdinand tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Izotz in the 27th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Fabian Joanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantino Izotz to make the kick off. Fabian Joanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Ferdinand, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Fagildo during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Argentinos Juniors defense, Fidel Ferdinand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Joanes. The Argentinos Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Joanes should have stopped the shot.
