Capdevilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético San Fernán the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Garaona in the 10th minute of play forced Club Atlético San Fernán's goalkeeper Albano Baudelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Capdevilla's zone, Felipe Lluc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Inge came out of the goal and Felipe Lluc tried to chip the ball over his head. The Capdevilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Club Atlético San Fernán getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Arnulfo Bilbo hit a great ball. If Felipe Lluc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ricardo Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felipe Lluc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 64 played minutes Club Atlético San Fernán got a freekick which was hit by Placido Txaran. Albano Baudelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Goyo in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match Club Atlético San Fernán got a corner. Capdevilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroldo Telmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Haroldo Telmo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Capdevilla's Severo Inge did a great save. 76 minutes into the game, Amador Garaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Albano Baudelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Amador Garaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albano Baudelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Severo Inge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Lluc in the 84th minute of play. When Gilberto Brun came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Club Atlético San Fernán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Brun couldn't finish the play. Arnulfo Bilbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Inge having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Bilbo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severo Inge. Capdevilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Bilbo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.
