In the 42ndth minute of the game Benicio Mano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LECCE F.C's Mario Chale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jose Eron came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Matagusanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Eron couldn't finish the play. Matagusanos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
