If Flavio Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 minutes of play, Newells's Tomás Telo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Goito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruben Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Macario, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Telo in the 16th minute of play forced Rincon FC's goalkeeper Ruben Goito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Furman hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Flavio Goizeder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Aldo Millan made a huge save. The referee gave Newells a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomás Telo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rincon FC's Ruben Goito. 0-2. Aldo Millan made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Flavio Goizeder sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Goizeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Newells's Tomás Telo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Telo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Goito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Macario in the 36th minute of play. Tomás Telo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Goito having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Tomás Telo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Rincon FC's Ruben Goito. Ruben Goito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Telo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cayetano Weterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Goito having to interfere. A collision led to Rincon FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aristides Emeterio hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Aristides Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Telo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Casimiro Macario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newells fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 70 minutes into the match, Rincon FC's goalkeeper Ruben Goito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Macario. After 76 played minutes Rincon FC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Emeterio. Tomás Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ruben Goito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Goizeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute of the match, Tomás Telo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruben Goito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rincon FC's goalkeeper Ruben Goito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aristides Emeterio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Millan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Tomás Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ruben Goito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Newells left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rincon FC.
