Inocencio Oliverios struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Reynaldo Quintan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate de Hurlingham. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Cristo Jenaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Triperos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Jenaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Mercurio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Inocencio Oliverios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Jenaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Acosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Mercurio having to interfere. If Cristo Jenaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Reynaldo Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Inocencio Oliverios fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate de Hurlingham's protests and gave Inocencio Oliverios a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of River Plate de Hurlingham booed when Los Triperos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Mede didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Quintan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Oliverios in the 38th minute of play. In the 47th minute Inocencio Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Quintan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristo Jenaro made a kick off. Cristo Jenaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Jenaro in the 58th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Luciano Acosta put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Emilio Mercurio. Emilio Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Jenaro in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Cristo Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Mercurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Jenaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Mercurio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Los Triperos F.C.'s Reynaldo Quintan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Los Triperos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Emilio Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Acosta in the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of River Plate de Hurlingham booed when Los Triperos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position.
