Maximino Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to c.a.los de ignacio getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Julio Aballe hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Atlético's Andres Orlan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Atlético defense, Maximino Cordario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmelo Colon. The Atlético fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmelo Colon should have stopped the shot. Martin Mingo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Codrea in the 13th minute. In the 25th minute Albano Endira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Mingo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Lucian Codrea sent off a good shot on target. Martin Mingo was a little too slow when Silvano Chaime got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. After a rather tough play, Atlético's Lucian Codrea got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximino Cordario to make the kick off. Andres Orlan hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Carmelo Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lucio Lehen got a throw-in 61 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Daniel Hurko. 66 minutes into the match, c.a.los de ignacio's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Codrea came free, but Martin Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Atlético getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lucian Codrea hit a great ball. Atlético's Saverio Argoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Saverio Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, c.a.los de ignacio's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Chaime came free, but Martin Mingo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Lehen kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Atlético players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
