Cristo Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Eztebe in the 3rd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Albino Cordaro put in a rough tackle. In the 18th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Mendiko came free, but Cristo Papo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Zaire's goalkeeper Fidel Gonzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doru Hodorog kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Doru Hodorog hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Ricardo Mendiko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Zaire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Mendiko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Gaspar hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Eztebe was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Jacobo Maraman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Zaire the free kick. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Jacobo Maraman got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Mendiko got free with Cristo Papo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Anderica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Eztebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cristo Papo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Hodorog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Gonzo having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Inocente to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Hodorog to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Mendiko got free with Cristo Papo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Angelo Eztebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Papo came out of the goal and Angelo Eztebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Anderica struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Fidel Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Doru Hodorog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Racing Club lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
