The audience was convinced that Adan Quentin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Paz was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Feliciano Cordaro came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Federal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Cordaro couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Federal's Erubiel Valentine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliseo Laurendi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilfredo Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erubiel Valentine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Federal's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Quentin came free, but Daniel Paz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Paz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Quentin in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Adan Quentin made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Erubiel Valentine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atalanta B.C.'s Eliseo Laurendi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erubiel Valentine struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Eliseo Laurendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Federal. Adan Quentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Paz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adan Quentin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute, Erubiel Valentine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilfredo Barea kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Atalanta B.C.'s Nadir Amri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Federal. A collision led to Federal getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Feliciano Cordaro hit a great ball. Adan Quentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Paz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Erubiel Valentine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Laurendi having to interfere. When Erubiel Valentine came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Federal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Valentine couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Laurendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Valentine, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Severo Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Daniel Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erubiel Valentine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severo Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Feliciano Cordaro's late challenge caught a Atalanta B.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Cordaro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Federal getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Jairo Bazkoare hit a great ball. Nadir Amri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Daniel Paz made a huge save. Federal were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
