The supporters of Banfield booed when Tronchatoro Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Micael didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Banfield's Agustin Veronica got a free kick in the 7th minute. With an all-out effort, Banfield's Godofredo Tristan threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Agustin Veronica, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marciano Izotz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tronchatoro Futbol Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Banfield a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Esteban Pirmin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tronchatoro Futbol Club's Godofredo Tristan. 1-0. Tronchatoro Futbol Club's Godofredo Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Matxin in the 18th minute of play. Banfield's attentive Jeronimo Gabirel managed to snatch the ball when Cristobal Franco made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. Godofredo Tristan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Godofredo Tristan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Veronica in the 25th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Tronchatoro Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Micael. In the 39th minute Agustin Veronica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Tristan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Tristan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 64 minutes into the match, Esteban Pirmin notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Tronchatoro Futbol Club's Godofredo Tristan. Godofredo Tristan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
