Cristian Ghiurutan came out of the goal and Rolando Ourente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Ourente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Ghiurutan having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Manilan during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rolando Ourente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Ghiurutan having to interfere. In the 26th minute of the match Celestino Orain sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Peruxu skillfully saved the ball. Armando Lluis struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Cristian Ghiurutan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domínguez. 29 minutes into the match, Domínguez's Rolando Ourente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Ghiurutan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rolando Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The Consiglieri della Omerta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Ghiurutan should have stopped the shot. Consiglieri della Omerta's Dylan Clarkson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fulgencio Fernendo in the 96 minute of the game. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
