An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Guillerme in the 3rd minute of play forced Sauce's goalkeeper Jonathan Jerold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Jerold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Gamus in the 4th minute of the match. Jonathan Jerold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sauce's Jonathan Jerold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Dolfo in the 12th minute of play. Anibal Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Baraquiel in the 13th minute of play. Jonathan Jerold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Gaston Gamus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Jerold was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 39th minute Joaquin Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Sauce got a freekick which was hit by Iker Bautista. Sauce's Gervasio Gonzalez got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Rey de Copas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Baraquiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Remigio Lico fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rey de Copas's protests and gave Remigio Lico a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sauce booed when Rey de Copas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Lico didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Rey de Copas's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Gonzalez came free, but Anibal Gaizko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rey de Copas's Anibal Gaizko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Quiroga in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match, Joaquin Dolfo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Jerold saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 63rd minute, Sauce's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Julian Guillerme fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonathan Jerold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Dolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Paulino Berriotxoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Jerold. Sauce's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulino Berriotxoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 78 played minutes, Rey de Copas's Remigio Gurutz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Jerold came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rey de Copas reached it. After having played for 82 minutes, Rodolfo Baraquiel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sauce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Baraquiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 minutes, Melquiades Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rey de Copas and the Sauce players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rey de Copas's Melquiades Neto got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Remigio Gurutz got a throw-in 85 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Paulino Berriotxoa. In the 88thth minute of the game Gervasio Gonzalez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rey de Copas's Anibal Gaizko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Jerold made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gaston Gamus sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Melquiades Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
