Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Damaso Madaleno took the kick off in the first half of the match. Damaso Madaleno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Romulo Diegotxe in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rosario's Jose Machado. Damaso Madaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damaso Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gilberto Hunfredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guido Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Arsenio Sergi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos FC's Gilberto Hunfredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Santos FC from getting a goal against them. Romulo Diegotxe made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Esteve Duardo. Rosario's Guido Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Iigo in the 32nd minute of play. Damaso Madaleno in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gilberto Hunfredo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Leandro Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Rosario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Escobar couldn't finish the play. Damaso Madaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Esteve Duardo got a free kick in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Madaleno got free with Gilberto Hunfredo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Ekaitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilberto Hunfredo. Wilfredo Ekaitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Arsenio Sergi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arsenio Sergi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Omar Iigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Guido Rey made a huge save. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Romulo Diegotxe with Esteve Duardo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Duardo in the 59th minute of play forced Rosario's goalkeeper Guido Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes, Esteve Duardo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rosario's Guido Rey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Wilfredo Ekaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Hunfredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gilberto Hunfredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Madaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Escobar struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gilberto Hunfredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosario. Arsenio Sergi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guido Rey having to make a save. In the 78th minute, Rodrigo Silbestre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Iigo got free with Guido Rey in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Rosario:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santos FC:s goal. Guido Rey went to the wrong direction when Romulo Diegotxe was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 91st match minute, Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Refugio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Rosario getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rodrigo Silbestre hit a great ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Santos FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Rosario side.
