If Andy Thome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Oroni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Ubelteso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Ismael Elorri's late challenge caught a Manzanares's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Elorri helped the player get up and apologised. Alvaro Oronis short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Nicolas Ubelteso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Osvaldo Patxi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Quexal, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Manzanares fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Manzanares's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
