The supporters of Candela Futbol Club booed when Nuestra Señora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Vellito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Faustino Soin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Higinio Sanson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute Teobaldo Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Sanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Teobaldo Txordon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candela Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Txordon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Sanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Txordon in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcial Martino during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmiro Brion to make the kick off. When Nuestra Señora's Ruperto Florian in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
