After 5 played minutes CA River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Primo. Donato Ilazki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Gaztea, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Kaxen in the 11th minute of play forced CA River Plate's goalkeeper Baltasar Indalecio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltasar Indalecio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Kaxen in the 14th minute of play. Cipriano Bingen hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Pascual Raymon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 25th minute Paolo Kaxen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Indalecio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Paolo Kaxen sped through CA River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baltasar Indalecio. The supporters of tatangol booed when CA River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Naldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Indalecio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abel Fidencio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Kaxen got free with Baltasar Indalecio in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paolo Kaxen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Baltasar Indalecio made a huge save. After 96 played minutes tatangol got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Bingen. CA River Plate's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
