The referee ignored Giant Killing's protests and gave Placido Poncio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Giant Killing's Placido Poncio got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Prospero Rivero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Haig's Iacob Barna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Illart in the 7th minute of play. Douglas Haig's Iacob Barna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Douglas Haig from getting a goal against them. After 15 minutes, Rene Pepillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douglas Haig and the Giant Killing players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Douglas Haig:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Giant Killing:s goal. Esteban Dino placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Giant Killing's Gilberto Segio got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Rene Pepillo. Douglas Haig's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Esteve Romelio 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Poncio came free, but Iacob Barna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Segio in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iacob Barna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Iacob Barna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Poncio in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes in the game Pastor Illart did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Placido Poncio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Romelio in the 40th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Iacob Barna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Segio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Segio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iacob Barna having to make a save. Aureliano Chap hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Prospero Rivero put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Erubiel Orkatz. In the 90th minute Esteve Romelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Barna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Pepillo to maneuver through the defense. Iacob Barna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Romelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Segio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Iacob Barna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Giant Killing failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
