The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Indio FC's Victorino Gaitano in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Manuel Montay came out of the goal and Elias Frasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorino Gaitano might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genaro Ihintza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Gaitano ran back to his position shaking his head. Genaro Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Hartz in the 14th minute of play. CuyayaSports's Genaro Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Gaitano in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in CuyayaSports's zone, Godofredo Hartz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Ihintza came out of the goal and Godofredo Hartz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Victorino Gaitano in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Sergio Dubardo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Edgard Aurken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, one of CuyayaSports:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CuyayaSports. The referee gave Indio FC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Niceto Paz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CuyayaSports's Genaro Ihintza. 0-1. Genaro Ihintza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Silbestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Hartz in the 44th minute of the match. Genaro Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Hartz in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Indio FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Elias Frasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genaro Ihintza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in CuyayaSports's zone, Victorino Gaitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After some careless play in the CuyayaSports defense, Victorino Gaitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Ihintza. The CuyayaSports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Ihintza should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, CuyayaSports's Genaro Ihintza got control of the ball when Victorino Gaitano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Indio FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
