Calle Vallengren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceibal. With an all-out effort, Escalada AFC's Leandro Tabor threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Generoso Servando, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Fidele to strike the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Calle Vallengren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eriberto Jacindo's late challenge caught a Ceibal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Jacindo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Escalada AFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cristian Romero hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Ciro Fidele recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Calle Vallengren. Ciro Fidele showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Daniel Seme kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Angelino Adrio fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escalada AFC's protests and gave Angelino Adrio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Escalada AFC's Angelino Adrio got a free kick in the 84th minute. The supporters of Escalada AFC booed when Ceibal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Goiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ciro Fidele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
