Ernesto Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Paublo having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Ayui got a freekick which was hit by Moises Hustaz. Maximino Paublo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Pirmin, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Ayui's Moises Hustaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Rodrigo Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ayui booed when Cabalonga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Foro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximino Paublo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Pirmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Emmanuel struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Maximino Paublo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabalonga. Cabalonga were furious when Leonardo Floreski was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 42nd minute, one of Cabalonga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cabalonga. Aquiles Onofre placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Sandaili to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ayui's goalkeeper Maximino Paublo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodolfo Pirmin struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Maximino Paublo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabalonga. In the 57th minute, Benjamin Sandaili made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Paulin. Cabalonga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 60th minute, Rodrigo Artaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Paublo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 70 played minutes, Ayui's Aquiles Onofre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eriberto Paulin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ayui reached it. Ernesto Barea struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ayui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Artaldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 87th minute, Cabalonga's Lucas Igon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Maximino Paublo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Benjamin Sandaili's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Paulin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Eriberto Paulin came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Ayui's Benjamin Sandaili. But to his dismay, Benjamin Sandaili quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
